Brunette or Blonde?

Hey readers, how's life? hope you're feeling snug and getting lots of sunshine, wherever you are in the world! thanks for your wonderful comments Marta, Caroline and Athena, can't tell you how much it makes me smile to hear from you!
So I'm looking back through these pics of when I was a brunette this time last year, and I feel like I can literally hear my hair whispering " come back to the dark side Lily! " I loved being brunette, I loved that I could wear any colour i wanted because it would go, I loved the wintery-ness of dark hair.. but at the same time.. my personality tells me I'm more of a blonde.. AGH! Anyway, what do you guys think? I'd love to hear!

My very first home upload!!!

Hey darling readers, hope your day was/is filled with happy moments, wherever you are in the world! Went out for tea tonight, so I thought I'd share this place with you guys from across the globe :) ! This is Fast Eddy's (which is really more like Slow Eddy's, I'm not kidding!) they have them nestled all around the city and they are a goldmine of cute little antiques and artifacts from time passed.. I love going there because it's one of those places that no matter how many times you've been, you always notice something you hadn't before.

Ta-Da! first outfit post from my new house!! So excited :D .Walking through it today, it already feels like a home, like it's ours.. I can't wait to move in properly, although funnily enough I'm loving all the space so much part of me just wants to keep it all empty for a while!

Seeing as we're so close to the move, I've started buying up herbs for my little herb garden we're putting in. Nothing too crazy flash, just some basil and some italian parsley, the lettuce will have to wait, they grow insanely too fast! I love the whole experience of growing your own veges - this time last year the love of my life was a cos lettuce which I named Caesar.. I really should stop naming everything..

Also, found this online.. LOVE!! It's from Forever New, I'm not sure if other countries have it, but it is the only store I've ever known where I can walk in and pick up 10 items I adore each and every time.. this outfit is no exception, I could buy every piece without ever thinking twice! Let me know what you think :)

Anyway my dears, I hope you all haven't been affected by the volcano mess, it's all over the news here! How is the weather where you are? I'd love to hear!
time to go, All my love
<3 Lily

Loving it!

Hey gorgeous people, hope you're having a great week, your bellies are full of wonderful foods, and you're not stuck anywhere because of the volcano ( although that sounds like my dream come true, getting stuck in europe.. *sigh!)

So Uni has now become a child of mine, constantly needing attention and demanding all of my spare time. Waghhh ! but I just thought i'd do this quick post to let you all know I am in fact stll alive!

The move is coming along great, although I'm realising just how bout a fashion addiction I have - this is only about a 3rd of my tops.. oh dear! I'm organising to have a goodbye house party which I am so excited about!!! Today we get to walk through the house fully finished,so added together I can't tell you how much I am bursting with excitement !!!

As you can see, we're starting to get a few rain days now! totally loving all the girly clothes that are winter wear - berets, tights, etc.. I'm using all of them at the moment, those pics are soon to come..

Oh my god! seriously late for cllass now, better bbe ooff - sending you all my love

Repost: Bringing back Lily

So some of you guys will remember my old blog which I regretfully shut down because people I knew found out about it, and I felt that I could no longer express myself and share things with the same level of openness as I had when the blog was just shared with other bloggers.

Now, I can tell you a bit more of the story. Someone within my outer circle of friends, and we all have them, a frenemy, found my blog. Once I knew this, though I tried not to let it get to me, it stayed in the back of my mind, and where previously I had been free, for example to take snaps of my fashion despite looking quite terrible, I now felt like I should in a way censor myself and I found it difficult to post pictures of outfits because I felt like they weren't good enough.

But when I left the Girl Who Came Gift Wrapped, I realised that for me, the blog wasn't about the outfits that I posted, and the posts that I wrote. What I missed was hearing from you guys, hearing about your own worlds, hearing your opinions and being able to share things that I love with you, like the Sculptures by the Sea and that sort of thing. I missed looking at the posts and seeing your sweet sweet comments. Why should one person's judging make all of that go away?

The stand out moment in bringing me back was my fiance when he found out I'd stopped the Girl Who Came Gift Wrapped (he loves reading my blog, funny boy). He came into our room where I was reading Pride and Prejudice to cheer myself up, gave me a huge hug and pulled my chin up to look at him, and said " Since when have you ever been a quitter?" that was all he needed to say,

Anyway, so welcome back gorgeous readers, here we go, second edition!

Hope you are having a beautiful day, wherever you are in the world!

Blue days and Bluebell

Hey there beautiful readers, hope the sun is shining for you, wherever you are in the world. Super stressed because I have a big assessment due tomorrow, and I still have loads to do on it.. how is it already 10:30 at night?
but even better today I'm Super excited, because guess what? I'm now the proud owner of a bicycle! Bluebell to be exact. My fiance thinks it's a bit weird that I named her, but I loveee her. This is a big thing for me because I only learned to ride without training wheels in like, year 4.. and haven't stepped on a bike for more than a minute since I was in year 7.
I've posted a tiny picture of the bike off the net, but when my new lappie finally arrives I'll be back full swing into uploading like a crazy girl.. I'm thinking portrait shots with me and my Bluebell, preferably with a purpley fading background and the glamour -dream sequence misty style .. No I'm totally kidding, but as you can tell, I am quite astonishingly deep in love.

It has poured almost non stop the entire day - how badly did I jinx myself with that last post ! Ahh well, there is still many a hot chocolate and marshmallows stacked up in the cupboard waiting to be devoured, and plenty of milky tea.. and when I finalllyyy get into the new house, a nice gas heater to laze around in front of. I swear when this semester is over, I will become a hermit for a week and just enjoy doing absolutely nothing.. bliss.

Sending my love from across the globe,
<3 Lily

Autumn is half over ! and week of weardrobe catch up !

Hey darling people, hope you're all feeling happy and healthy wherever you are in the world. It seems like it's been ages since my last post, uni has become incredibly hectic at the moment, partially due to the fact that I'm having to travel 3 hours on the train 2 even 4 days a week for 1 hour meetings for prac on the other side of the city, which means lots of time staring out windows, reading novels ( yay Pride and Prejudice) and doing lecture readings ( zZzZzZ), but not much time on a computer!

Anyway, so wardrobe challenge is well and truly swinging, I've got the weeks worth of outfits ready to be uploaded when I get home (I know, how surprising, I'm at uni!! :D) so I'll put those up as soon as I can.

Up until two days age, Perth was still in a stage of heavy denial about the seasons, refusing to give any of us a day where the temperature was less than 24 degrees - LOVE! I made sure I took lots of photos for you Kim xoxo! Yesterday was our first real taste of wintery weather, and it made me think of all the things I'm looking forward to about wintery days..
1. Snuggling neck deep in pillows and comfy blankets. Pure Bliss.
2. Coming home after being caught out in the rain and jumping into a hot shower
3. The amazing lightning storms ( hopefully not as crazy as the last though! :D)
4. Cups, and cups, and cups of delightfully tummy tingling warm tea.
5. Pizza nights in watching movies with friends
6. Sitting in the recliner, with homesocks and dressing gown, sipping on hot chocolates.
7. Watching the sunrise and being grateful for the blessing of a new day.
8. The tights, the pea coats, the berets, the scarves.. Winter clothes are so much fun and so feminine <3
9.
10.

As you can see I haven't quite finished this post, but I'm going to be super late for class if I don't go now -
All my Love,
<3 Lily

Don't freak out, my hair hasn't changed, I'm just posting some in the meanwhile pics of previous outfits, think of it as like hold music :D

Closet Challenge

Hey there readers, hope you're all having a blast, wherever you are in the world

So a few of you might remember when I first started this blog, I'd set myself the challenge of wearing something different out of my wardrobe every day, until I had worn everything.. the idea kinda died for a while, but yay! I've decided I need some way of relaxing with uni things heating up as the end of semester is racing towards me, super stressful .. cue: challenge restart

I've started the challenge with this Miss Shop tartan skirt I found in Melbourne and decided I couldn't live without.. I had some previous outfits from weardrobe in it, check out what I looked like when I had dark hair - woah. Actually, I loved being being a brunette, there is something very understatedly sexy about it, and everything goes when your hair is dark.

Big shout out to the gorgeous bunch of girls I met on the train today - I won't say your names, but you know who you are ! you guys really brightened up the train trip, and said the sweetest things! hope you like the blog :)

anyway my beautiful friends, I'll post again soon, gotta keep going on uni, which guarantees to be awesome fun ahahah !

Take care and keep smiling, <3 Lily

Happy Easter !

Happy Easter everyone! Hope you all had a wonderful time, wherever you spent it. Easter for me means dressing in pretty tea dresses and hunting for easter eggs in the garden. I'm not sure about the rest of the world, but here in Australia, looking for easter eggs usually stops for people at about age 7. But in our family, it's become something of a tradition, and now it wouldn't quite feel like Easter without it. This year, it seemed like everyone had brought their own bag of eggs to hide, which meant we had to get a bit more creative with hiding places than usual, because in all seriousness, we had about 400 eggs. :D After about three quarters of an hour spent peeking around garden ornaments, looking under river stones and even reaching into trees, we seemed to have found most of them. You always know that there are going to be some left behind which you'll find 6 months later, as perfect egg shaped empty foil cases.

Anyway, today I wore a tea dress from Miss Shop ( from Myer), a white half size cardi from Target with pretty peeptoes from Rubi Shoes. The photo will have to wait though, because after the storm, the insurance company is taking a rather long time replacing my lappie... I suppose it's not big on their list of priorities !

Til next time my gorgeous readers, hope you are having a wonderful spring/autumn, wherever you are in the world! <3
